About Us
Dr. Soumya Prasad
An ecologist by profession, Soumya has two decades of experience researching the impact of human activities on natural ecosystems.
The 'Nature Vidya' website has been her brainchild to disseminate nature education to children in the Western Himayalan region. With 'Nature Vidya', Soumya hopes to ignite the curiosity of children towards their natural surroundings and enable them to become its custodians.
Riddhima Karwa
Riddhima is a development professional by qualification with a keen interest in sustainability.
For the 'Nature Vidya' program, she has designed the garbology and ecosystem themed activities for children. She has also played a key role in the website design and development for
'Nature Vidya.'
Shruti Sachan
Shruti is a UI/UX designer by profession with a keen interest in sustainable fashion. She has also been a Design faculty at DIT Univeristy Dehradun.
With her expertise, Shruti has provided major design inputs to the 'Nature Vidya' website to ensure it is user-friendly across all formats and audiences. She has also designed the downloadable PDFs and info-graphics for the activities section of the website.
Dr. Raman Kumar
Raman is an ornithologist by profession with years of experience in ecological research in the Western Himalayan region. He is also associated with the citizen science projects - MigrantWatch and SeasonWatch.
For the 'Nature Vidya' project, Raman has been instrumental in translating the nature activities and website content into Hindi. He has ensured that the 'Nature Vidya' Hindi website is easy to understand and follow.
Ritwik Trivedi
Ritwik is a tech enthusiast and a graduate from IRMA, Anand (Gujarat). He has been the web developer for the 'Nature Vidya' bilingual website and has ensured the website is functional and easy to use.
